As the charts below show, there are three to four courses per quarter, each lasting twelve weeks. Each course is comprised of four to eight subjects, but the average number of courses per subject is six. The subjects primarily consist of reading the articles, since there are no exams, research papers, or books (with one exception of a five-book series in electronic format). Students need to read an average of two or three articles per week in order to get through each course. The time commitment to read these articles is about sixty to ninety minutes of reading per week, allowing thirty minutes per article. However, some articles feature videos, in which case more time would be required to watch those.
The Second Year has the lightest core-course load, but due to the Electives that must be completed and the five-book series that must be read, it should require a time commitment similar to the First and Third Year. However, it should be noted that the Third Year is a bit heavier course load than the other two years. With proper time management, the student should easily be able to manage the Third-Year studies without too much additional effort.
Some of the key tasks that are measurable include Bible reading, participation in a Life Transformation Group, and reading articles. Since the student will read between four to five chapters of the Bible per day, in order to complete twenty-five to thirty chapters per week, we estimate about thirty minutes of Bible reading per day, which equals about three and a half hours per week. In addition to that, we estimate it will take an hour to an hour and a half per week to read the articles. Sometimes it will take longer, if an article has a featured video, since those must be watched. Moreover, the Life Transformation Group meeting requires one hour per week, plus a little more time to allow for transit time to and from the place where your group meets, so we could say two hours per week total. Therefore, all of these key tasks come to about five and a half to seven hours per week. That's about sixty to ninety minutes per day on average.
Other tasks that are not measurable but required include maintaining a daily prayer life, evangelism, service for the Lord in some capacity, and weekly participation in local worship services (see the DTS Home Page for the full list of requirements). However, hopefully most of these requirements are already part of a person's life before they enroll in the DTS, in which case they would not require any extra time commitment.

**This includes all elective subjects which are required during the second year. However, it does not include the five-book series by brother Yong Doo Kim, called Baptize by Blazing Fire (BBBF), which must all be read during the Second Year. The recommended rate is to read one of the five BBBF books every ten weeks, thus allowing fifty weeks to read all five. The following chart shows the number of pages per BBBF book in PDF format:
