Requirements
In addition to that requirement, and the academic requirements, students are also required to do practical work throughout the course of their studies in the DTS. That includes maintaining a daily prayer life, daily Bible reading, participation in a discipleship group, known as a Life Transformation Group, evangelism, service for the Lord in some capacity, weekly participation in local worship services (may be a house church, not necessarily an institutional church), giving tithes and offerings, accountability and submission to godly oversight. Therefore, please pray before you decide to enroll in DTS, and count the cost, since this is a big commitment that should not be made lightly, and we want you to be led by the Holy Spirit. Since you will be required to submit to this process I've just outlined, in order to maintain your enrollment, you will need the Lord's help to endure to the end.
Auditing the Courses
Of course, anyone who wishes to simply audit the courses may do so without enrolling. All they need to do is click the links and read the articles. That will still be instructive and edifying, but the results will not be the same as experienced by those who enroll.
Tuition
Doulos Missions International (DMI) offers this DTS to those who meet the requirements, and is free of charge to all who attend. However, if you are able to give offerings of any amount to DMI, it would be greatly appreciated, since this ministry is supported by those who give to it financially from their own means that the Lord has provided. As the Scripture says, "The one who is taught the Word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him." (Gal 6:6). The Lord will bless you as you give, and your giving will be a part of your discipleship training as well. Since there is no tuition fee, the amount you give will be in proportion to your means. As Paul wrote: "For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have." (2Co 8:12). You may use the Donate button in the side bar for any offerings to DMI.
Time Commitment
The DTS course load is geared for working adults, and we understand how busy you can be, so we have made it so that it is not too time consuming for you. The minimum effort for core tasks that are measurable should be about six to seven hours per week on average. That's about sixty to ninety minutes per day on average. If you are considering enrollment, we recommend reviewing the Curriculum Overview and the Course Load Overview for more information to help you determine whether you are able to afford the time commitment.
Award for Completion
Upon completion of the DTS, an official Certificate of Completion is awarded. More importantly, the righteous receive an eternal reward in heaven for every righteous deed done for the Lord. That includes prayer, worship, Bible reading, giving tithes and offerings, evangelism, and service in the Church. Aside from the fact that students receive a Certificate of Completion, the other earthly advantages for completion of this course of study are that you will be adequate, equipped for every good work in the Lord's service.
Servant
My name is Len Lacroix, and I am the founder of Doulos Missions International. I will be providing these services by the grace of God. I have known Christ since 1986 while serving in the US Army Infantry. You can read my testimony called The Truth Set Me Free! I graduated from Zion Bible Institute (now Northpoint Bible College) in 1992 with a diploma in Bible and Ministry. I also graduated from Regent University's School of Divinity in 1995 with a Master's degree (M.A.) in Missiology (World Missions), and a concentration on Church Planting. I am married to my wife Jennifer, who also holds an M.A. degree in the same field of study, and together we have had five children, one of which we are still raising. They range in age from fifteen through twenty-six years old. We spent over four years in Eastern Europe as missionaries, making disciples and training others to so do. You can read more about us on our ministry website.
