All students are required to take any two of the following electives during their Second Year of DTS:

IMPORTANT: Please notify Len Lacroix by the beginning of your Second Year - First Quarter which two electives you will take. You will have your entire Second Year to complete these.

You may choose one elective from the left column above and one from the right column, or two from the left column, or two from the right column. The easiest way to explain this is that you can pick any two electives from the ten electives listed above. But if you pick "A Willing Heart", then you should do both parts I and II, since it is a book.

A Willing Heart I

This elective course contains the first half of the autobiography of my dear friend, Dr. Andrew Stenhouse, whom I have had the pleasure of knowing for around twenty-eight years. His life is a living example of what it means to have a willing heart to please the Heavenly Father, which is something that's so important for all of us to have.

His life story is told in short, fifteen-minute segments (on average), in which I interviewed him over the phone. You will find the links to each blog post below containing the transcripts and audio recordings, so that you can read along while you listen to it. You may also download each of the podcasts, if you prefer to do so. I believe the Lord will use it to speak to your heart. Enjoy!

A Willing Heart II

Biblical Typology I

Someone once said that what is enfolded in the Old Testament is unfolded in the New Testament. The purpose of this blog is to fully unfold those rich truths buried like treasures in the Hebrew Scriptures, specifically the ones where we find types of Christ. Our goal is to get to know our wonderful Lord Jesus more. But there are also other types as well, and as the Lord leads, we will examine those, too.

As Paul the apostle said, "Now these things happened to them as types and were written for our admonition, to whom the ends of the ages are arrived." (1 Cor 10:11, BSB).

Biblical Typology II
